Thursday Theological Study:  “Salvation:  a New Look at an Old Idea.”  We will read a book by John Killinger entitled, The Changing Face of Salvation.  Join Rev. Schuster beginning Jan. 8th at 4:30 p.m. in the Conference Room on Thursdays.  Books are available in the church office.

Brown Bag Bible Study:  “Dealing with Difficult Texts.”  We will delve into some of the biblical inconsistencies and conflicts and compare and contrast the Theology of the Old Testament against the theology of the New Testament.  We will reflect upon the theological difference between Paul and Jesus.  We will take a look at some of the letters that Paul wrote and compare them to the letters that others wrote in his name.  We will look at how Paul changes his point of view; the early Paul and the later Paul.  We will consider the differences in theology between Isaiah 1, Isaiah 2, and Isaiah 3.  Bring your Bible and your lunch to the Bride’s Room beginning Jan. 7th at noon.  The discussion leader is Charles Schuster.

Ecumenical Film Forum:  The first Faith and Film Series will begin at John the 23rd Catholic Church on Jan. 9th at 7:00 p.m.  It will focus on Eradicating Extreme Poverty and Hunger.  Come join us, listen, and prepare to live out the Gospel in God’s world.

A New EarthA four-week study by Eckhart Tolle will begin at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11th in the Village Commons.  Book is available in Fellowship Hall for $9.00.

An Outreach...
  Wellington United Methodist Fellowship

It began six months ago as an outreach of First Church, Fort Collins and the Rocky Mountain Conference. "Have church, will travel!" is a phrase used by many of the participants. Choir members, instrumental groups, First Church members travel north to share their talents and mingle with Wellington attendees. A portable pulpit, battery candles, Methodist hymnals, curriculum for Sunday School, toys for nursery, coffee pot are toted in and out of Eyestone Elementary School in a spirit of love, comraderie, excitement. Help us continue spreading the word to friends and neighbors.
