Mysticism: Experiencing God's Presence in Your Everyday World: Join Rev. Ray Miller and Martha Conant for an engaging introduction to Christian mysticism and mystics such as Thomas Merton and Julian of Norwich. This class will meet Today, 10:45 - 11:45 a.m., in the Computer Commons. Beginning March 14th, this class will meet in the Chapel on Sunday mornings.
An Introduction to Celtic Spirituality and Saints: Interest in Celtic spirituality has grown rapidly in recent years. Today, Rafael Ubico, will help us learn more about the history of this enduring spirituality, 10:45-11:45 a.m. in the Upper Room.
Crash Course in Methodism: What does it mean to be Methodist? Who was John Wesley? Longtime FUMC member Ross Loomis will give us answers to these questions and more. Today, 10:45-11:45 a.m. in the Bride’s Room.

“Understanding the Role of Central Asia in Today’s World”: Dr. Bill Griswold returns to FUMC to help us better understand how the political history of this area impacts our involvement. He will speak on why the Middle East sees us as the problem and not the solution and the power of the Jewish, Armenian and Arab Diaspora in the US to help guide and focus US foreign policy. Today, 1:00-2:30 p.m. in the Parlor.
Religion, Spirituality and the Human Search for Meaning: The Theologian-in-Residence program of Fort Collins is sponsoring a talk by Dr. Joseph Mudd, associate professor of theology at Sacred Heart College in Hartford, CT. Today, 9:45-11:00 a.m. at Blessed John XXILII Student Commons (north of John XXIII, directly east of Sonic on W. Elizabeth) also, Monday, March 8th, 12:00 noon in room 105 of the Education Building, CSU campus and Tuesday, March 9th, 7:00 p.m. at Blessed John XXIII parish.

History of the Tres Colonias: Betty Aragon will be the special guest speaker at the next UMW unit meeting on Thursday, March 11th, 11:20 a.m. in the Parlor. All women of the church are welcome to join us for lunch and learn about Hispanic pioneers in Fort Collins.
Double Nickel Luncheon: Join us for lunch at noon on Friday, March 12th in Fellowship Hall. Rob Bean, Chief Paddling Officer of the Big Moo Canoe for Heifer International will talk about his team’s upcoming participation in a 340 mile canoe race in July to raise awareness and donations for Heifer. A short video will also be presented about the Heifer project in Nepal.
“Christ the Center”: A three-week class on the Theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer will be presented in the Samaritan class on March 14th, 21st and 28th. The class meets in the Parlor at 9:15 a.m. The presenter is Richard Jansen.
Peaks Subdistrict Conference Scheduled March 20th: The conference will be held at First UMC, Longmont, on Saturday, March 20th. The day will include helpful workshops, lunch and required subdistrict business. Registration for the workshops and lunch is $15.00. The Next Generation Church: Learn what younger church goers have to say about faith, religion and spirituality and discuss what it means for our church and community. Led by Rev. McFee, Tuesday, March 9th, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Village Commons.
Wednesday Theological Study—The Evolution of God: Wednesdays at noon in the Parlor with Rev. Schuster. We will explore the ideas in this provocative book by Robert Wright (copies available for $17).
Wednesday Lenten Programs: Join us Wednesdays, March 10, 24 and 31st beginning with a light supper at 6:00 p.m. followed by three classes: The Power of Stories: an interactive sharing of stories that connect us with central themes of faith (grace, suffering, etc.) led by Rev. Rebecca McFee and Bev Halperin; Redemption and Salvation in Film: Rev. Joel Kershaw will look at religious themes in the movies especially Christian symbols of redemption and salvation; and Incarnation and Resurrection: Rev. Charles Schuster will consider two symbols that create unity and a sense of common identity.

Request forms are available in the church office. All requests should be reviewed by the Chair of the appropriate work area, co-chair/s of the Administrative Council, and the Senior Pastor, and the application request form must be received by the Foundation no later than Thursday, April 1st.
